New York Fashion Week 2012 is right around the corner for the Fall and Winter seasons. I always get excited to see the latest styles. I fly twice a year to New York just to see what the world’s most famous fashion designers have created. New York Fashion Week 2012 for the fall/Winter will be February 9-16th and September 13-20 for Spring/Summer. Once again it is sponsored by Mercedes Benz. They do a wonderful job sponsoring each year. Some people ask me why they show Fall and Winter clothing towards the end of the season. The answer is pretty simple. Several of the people attending are buyers for retail stores. They need to plan ahead and place their orders so that the design houses can know what they need to produce before the next season arrives.
The fashion designer I am looking forward to seeing at the show is Max Azria. He is the designer and Chairman of BCBGMAXAZRIA. They are showing their latest lines at 10am on February 9th. What I like so much about their fashion is that they carry it at several major department stores like Macy’s for example and their clothing is at affordable price points. Affordable for relatively high level of fashion. I practically have a whole closet full of their stuff. that doesn’t include their line of shoes which is excellent as well.
